Dano is a Photographer based in Nairobi, Kenya. He has extensive experience in Africa, Europe, Near East and parts of Asia.
With more than four decades in his bones, Dano’s idealism doesn’t seem to be fading any. In fact it’s setting in for the long haul.
He still entertains the notion that he can use his power for good. He still wants to “save the world” and be a resource to others who would do the same. He donates time, expertise, and supports local community based groups. A task he feels will take a life time. As such his main client work is serving the International NGO community and teaching photography to all walks of life: from future pro-photographers, pro’s and hobbyist a like.
Dano specializes in creating compelling images that are both aesthetically and emotionally moving. Portrait still stand up as his personal favourite of which he spends most of his free time trying to capture.
During his time Dano tried different aspects of photography and eventually found himself more often than not in the pit of some sweaty gig taking live photos of wannabes, political elite and so-called journalism. It was within his later years of life that he really got into really journalism, portrait, and NGO project photography, in which he found an automatic addiction. During the summer of his experimentation phrase, Dano assisted one of the world’s greatest photographer Larry Sultan.
Currently he is working on developing and moulding his own personal style. As Dano loves to say “whatever that means”
